ROTAX CONTINUOUS EXTRACTION SYSTEM

EFFICIENCY / YIELDS

This system is a continuous extractor set up to process 550lbs/hour at 90%+ efficiency will full control over all operational parameters (temperature, residence time, flow rates) and can process upwards of 1000lbs/hour if desired


Solvent Recovery: Rising Film Evaporation rated for 600gal/hour and Wiped Film Evaporation rated for .5% solvent remaining through initial pass


Molecular Sieve: Series of (4) columns for etoh dehydration removing residual moisture from your ethanol and cleaning (regenerating) it for reuse.


Yield: 10%-15% product yield (crude) which is dictated by processor.


Example: 500lbs of biomass will result in 50-75lbs of crude per run

SPECIFICATIONS

The Rotax Continuous Extraction unit is designed for a high volume of continuous Counter Current Solvent Extraction.   This system was designed specifically for clients that require the highiest level of throughput with limited downtime or human interaction for their Biomass/Agricultural oil extraction.

The Rotax system is designed for fully automated operation with self-feeding input as well as the discharge of spent material with up to a 99.9% solvent recovery rate due to our patented recovery conveyor.

All systems can be customized for the specifications; throughput and operational parameters of the end-users needs.  Systems are also designed for cryogenic or heated operation.

Plant prep system utilizing a series of hoppers, pelletizer and Cable-Vey augering system for pre-extraction


Rotary Extraction Skid which contains 8 rotating columns for continuous feed flow


Spent material drying skid with a desolventizing drying screw designed to recover solvent from processed biomass


Oil separation skidded system containing rising film evaporation inline with wiped wiped film evaporation


Independent solvent storage which includes dedicated pumps, valves and process piping


Molecular sieve skid which removes residual moisture from solvent/oil while regenerating reusable solvent


Custom controls built in our Charlotte headquarters with integrated siemens components, centralized PLC control panels and fully automated to meet our client’s needs


Series of chillers built to control all cooling and heating through a system of cryo chillers and 60 horsepower steam boiler

Multiple molecular sieve columns built to dehydrate solvents to achieve target starting potency

DESOLVENTIZING DRYING SCREW

Dual-purpose mechanical screw removes biomass from system while recovering solvent from spent material.


Screw equipped with steam jackets to evaporate remaining solvent and to dry the biomass to create a clean solvent-free byproduct


Solvent vapors are collected through dedicated vacuum condenser and the condensed solvent returns to the system for reuse.


BIOMASS IS DISCHARGED FROM THE DECANTER CENTRIFUGE INTO THE DRYING SCREW
